Oh cool :star: My hubby had said a joke in the chatroom that I thought was funny..so I private messaged him. We exchanged AIM usernames (haha, I had dial up back then) and the rest is history!

Yeah we both kind of laugh a little when people ask "How did you meet?" once they find out Phil is from Canada

I thought my hubby was annoying the first few times he came into the chatroom but he kept coming back and tried to talk to me ..lol he said it was because he saw me "singing" rubber duckie in the chat room and he thought to himself that he had to get to know that person...

I was reading that first post again, and remembered one time when I said my usual answer "We played the same game online" and got a "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!" (Loud, high pitched, made me jump exclamation) from some guy. Followed by a "These youngin's" head shaking. Good thing I didn't really care what his opinion was...

We also kept our relationship on the down-low for a while. We didn't tell anyone on the game for a long time -in case it didn't work out, we didn't want gossiping like the other tried and failed couples- and I only told two of my (super supportive!!) girl friends, one of which plays WoW, so she understood completely. We didn't meet on WoW, but a different game.

We met online & there is the odd time where people raise an eyebrow when they ask how we met considering I live in Australia. I tend to just stick with we met online through an online game...when they ask what game it is instead of explaining what Second Life is I merely say 'Think of The Sims on some serious steroids' they nod but have the expression of 'she must be nuts!'
