Hi I just want to post and say Yes I am still around and we are waiting on Security checks. His first one was great and then they called him and asked him his brothers and sisters names and that was for the 2nd security check which is still not complete and the I134 is still in recieved status since March 28th! I am staying faithful to prayers and calling the DOS everyday to check status well Monday -Friday. He keeps telling me there is nothing to worry about with his brothers and sisters so just be calm and when God is ready the Visa will be issued. Ok, I am very strong in my faith and try very hard to be as clam as he is but it is very difficult at times. It seems like Jordan is really doing os great things right now so I can only pray they will contiue.

Hi Angie,

thanks for checking in - I've been thinking of you and waiting for your VISA IN HAND thread. Yes, I'm sure it's coming very soon. Strange though that they would do a check on his brother/sister, I don't know that I've heard that before, but nevertheless his check was good so all will be fine.

inshaallah you'll get the good news when they open up again on Sunday (I think they are closed fri and sat right? or just sat?)

you'll both be in my prayers until then!

LOL! Well he and I have known each other for almost 2 years.. but as far as info like about my parents and such.. he has to practice :) I have chatted exactly twice ever with my husband :) I really wish we could have done stuff like that, but his village is too small and it's too expensive and difficult.

Angie-- I really hope this is cleared up soooooooon!!!!

you have to pay for the visa prior to the interview Julianna - it's 70 JD or 100 dollars. The list of banks is included in the packet your hubby received. If you need a copy let me know and I'll email it you. Once he pays, they will give him a slip of paper/receipt. He will need it to enter the embassy when he goes to interview.

#######! They never included this in the list so I didn't know (I'm the one who got the list :) ). I'll tell him and maybe he can do it tomorrow. Is it Jumah right now? I think it may be. I'll try to call him anyway. CAn you send me a copy of the banks? Does it have to be a bank in Amman or can it be one of the other branches?

I think I stand corrected - you are doing a CR1, this fee should have been taken care of wtih the back and forth at NVC sorry to worry you. My apologies, I don't believe you have to pay anything now. I hope one of the other Cr1 ladies can come through and confirm.

The fee I mentioned is for K1 - sorry again! But send me your email by PM anyway.

I paid a lot of things to the NVC LOL! So I'm not sure. There was some $300+ fee, and some $70 fee, and somehting that was like $180? And of course the I-130 fee and the I-129F fee... Gah!!! He has a copy of all the things I paid so if it's paid and he needs the receipt, I can have him fish it out of the giant-@$$ white binder.

If you're CR-1, you have already paid fees to NVC: $380 immig. fees + $70.00 for Affid. of Support fee. You only pay the $100 if you're going K3. I sent my husband the receipts for these 2 bills.

Good luck,

Irene

Ahhh! Yes! I paid that! No one ever said I was Cr-1, I've just been figuring it out from context clues-- much like this one! LOLOL! because asking Amman the direct question 3 times: Is "A.>>>> A>>>>, etc going to be interview on the Cr-1 visa" never got a response that even came CLOSE to answering the question LOL! I am realllly sure I sent him these receipts because I think I copied everything short of my face, behind, and hands for him and placed it in that binder.

Thank you SOOOOOOOO much Irene!!!!!

Julianna - I think the only other possible fee would be the courier fee in the case that your husband needs to have the visa delivered. If he's planning to pick it up in person, you should be done with fees until the lifting of conditions.

I know he'd rather drive down to Amman and pick it up himself. So I am sure if that's possible, he won't pay for courier service.

This is how our conversation about an hour ago transpired:

me: OMGIthinkyouhavetopayforavisafeeinAMMAN!!!!!!!!!

him: Shoo habibti?

me: OMG!FEE!70JD!AMMAN!!!

him: habibti? Calm down. We talked about this already, huh? I can't understand you when you are too excited. Schway, Schway, and English please.

me: You! May! Need! To! Go! To! Amman! To! Pay! 70JD! To! A! Bank! For! The! Visa! Before! Your! Interview! OMG! And I totally speak English!

him: oh. Mish mushkila habibti. I'm eating, can you call me later? I have chicken.
