Just tell the truth. It doesn't matter who bought the ticket, usually. With that said, be prepared to be asked about your K-1 case, and have strong ties (and evidence of said ties) back to the Netherlands — there's a much higher chance you may be sent home, but it's not impossible to visit.

thank you. if he boks the tiket is much cheaper then if i book trough united, but if its extra trouble at the boarder i just pay extra and book myself. i was thinking maybe because with the b2 they wan to know if you have mony to spend in the US and have a good income. so i want to know if anyone knows why they ask that question.

Because they can ask the question, they dont need to have an explanation as to why. Off course its to help them decide if you are an overstay risk.

Just answer the questions honestly.

And why would it be cheaper if he books the ticket? Surely the price is the same, regardless of the name of the person paying, unless he gets a discount?

no discound, i dont untherstand why its more expensive either. they say because my billing adress is in the netherlands they change it to euros and then they want to charge 1300 euros wile in dollars wit ha us biling adress it is 990 dollars, so that should be like 900 euros.

and its even to a international card from master card, so i tolt them =they can just charge my card in dollars and it would be no problem, but they sayd there system does not allow that at united.

but i gladly pay extra if it saves me from a dinial reson. so i was just wandering if you guys think i should just book it myself to be shure. my plan was never to lie about it. but just not let him pay if it makes it more difficult.

so that is wat im asking will him buying my tiket make them see me as an overstay risk, would it be saver for me to just pay extra and book it myself?

If the flight's cheaper, then it's cheaper, and that's your reason to the CBP officer as to why your fiance purchased it instead of you, simple as that. Again, they won't care who purchased it, they just want to make sure you're telling the truth.

Not really a big deal if he pays. If they ask, just answer truthfully as the others said and most likely it won't even be a big deal. I wouldn't really worry about this too much, it's really a minor point overall, especially since you're already doing a K-1, which will probably be of more interest to CBP anyway.
