Hi all,

Just wanted to share our great experience with all of you who are waiting anxiously for your interviews out there. We had our interview today, and it was unbelievably easy. The worst part was the wait to be called into the office of the interviewer. We waited for about 1 1/2 hour with a bunch of other applicants and their lawyers. When we were finally called, we were met by a friendly male officer who conducted us to his cubicle. Once there, he swore us in and asked for our photo id. He asked my husband when I was born, what my mom's name is, and whether my mom attended our wedding (she did). He then started talking about my husband's prior job which he thought seemed interesting. He looked briefly at our wedding album, and then told us that we were approved! The whole thing took less than five minutes, and he didn't look at a single document that we brought. At last, he stamped my passport and said that we could expect the card in three to four weeks. I am so relieved, and I hope things go as smoothly for everyone else here. Without the valuable advice from this board we definitely would have felt compelled to dish out a small fortune for lawyer, I think. :dance:

September 27/06 Interview APPROVED, with visa in hand

October 29/06 Moving Date

December 30/06 Married!!

AOS Journey:

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

ROC Journey:

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!

05/02/07 Check finally clears my bank - appears to have been processed on 4/30 by VSC (day 30)

05/04/07 Received BLUE Finger Print Receipt Notification (day 32)

05/17/07 Received NOA1 dated 5/9/07(day 45)

05/18/07 Received ASC Appointment Notice dated 5/14/07 for June 1st (day 46)

06/01/07 Biometric Appointment today @ 2:00 (day 60)

06/03/07 "Touched" (day 62)

10/26/07 "Card Production Ordered" (217 days from the day the application received and 172 days from NOA1)

10/30/07 Touched again

10/31/07 Received Notice of Removal of Conditional Basis of Lawful Permanent Residence letter, signed by Paul E Novak Jr.

10/31/07 Touched again - if we get touched again does that count as harassment?

11/05/07 10 year green card arrives! (227 days)
