THOSE COMMENTS FROM RIDE JEWEL AMD DAVID- HEIN ARE JUST PLAIN RACIST.

WHY DIDNT YOU FIND SOMBODY FROM HERE AND MARRY THIS PERSON????

First off, I don't get how what we said was racist at all. All we said was the processing time for the actual American Visa(not AOS)is generally faster for neighboring/friendly countries. We said that and that visiting your loved one was much easier and cheaper than having to go overseas. See, my wife is Vietnamese, and, as you know with most communist countries, America still has issues with them, our process was a total mess; the usual time frame for the US consulate in Viet Nam is 3 to 4 months AFTER they receive the papers from NVC. I'm not too sure what the fail rate is for the Vietnamese, but I know that my wife was one out of five to have passed that day out of a hundred or so. The other issue is that with Mexico and Canada, visiting is increditably easier and cheaper for both parties. As for your comment about "finding someone from here to marry," you're correct, that is if I wanted to have married the totally wrong person and to have lived a terribly unsatisfied life. We're all in the AOS process together, that's the only real commonality we share. PS: take the caps lock off, it's tacky at best.

The fail rate for K1 visa in Vietnam is more than 20%, ridejewel. You also can check in the forum with the list of persons who can pass interview by "Vietnam", then you can see the general picture. The fail rate on visajourney is lower than in reality society as we are fewer persons, besides we can get better advices from visajourney tp avoid the bad situation.

Today, I can get the form I-693 supplemental form from a Vietnamese doctor in Seattle, he cost me USD 30 only. Finally, we can get that form by the help of Vietnamese people.

To the Mexican or Canadian friends, we just want to say how difficult we had to pass through the first step to let the other Vietnameses, who can have some more experiences. We don't want to say in racist here, it's of course that a country, they must have their own policy for the immigrants, and it's not the same for all. They must base on the political reason, the economic reason and so many other reasons to make the process quickly or slowly for each country.

It's so nervous and stressfull to do for this process, but it's the way we chose for our life, we have to continue for our happiness. We are still the lucky couples, who can pass the interview in the first period to live together in USA.
