We're the backache crew now.

 

Why can I never get my house the perfect temperature in the summer?  One degree down I need a sweater, one up I'm sweating.

I have the Nest Thermometer now and can adjust the ac much better now. Like 76.7 or 76.3 and that alone makes a huge difference. 

 

I picked a ton of blueberries the last couple weeks and we have a ton to still turn blue.

Up early tomorrow, we have the man coming to clean the gutters. The MIL rang him this afternoon, and told him it was an emergency, she had a leak coming in to the living room.

 

First I heard of that, so I went out to see said leak. It was a shadow of the ceiling fan/light in the corner of the ceiling. No leak.

 

She refused to call him back and tell him the story. He's coming out here at 0730 to repair a leak and clean the gutters. None of it is necessary. I hope he charges her moonbeams.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Yes I know some are not blueberries as they are still pink. That is the price I pay for getting the littles to help pick.

No bears around here. When we lived in Canada though I would never go blueberry picking without my dog or noisy kids. Bears don't like the noise and the dog would smell it long before it could jump us.

I made panna cotta with raspberries, it's been a while since I felt like cooking.

Things are slowly getting back to normal, although I still miss my husband a lot of course.

It's good I get to see him in a little over two weeks, but it's always bittersweet saying goodbye.

 

The waiting portion while you're stuck in USCIS is really the worst part, at least so far. 

Especially when you're in midwestern hell. Thanks, Nebraska. You slow potato head.
