No suggestions just a hug

I sympathise, my MIL is 83 and as fragile as glass but thinks she can do anything, we just found out she told family she fell asleep at the wheel while driving to Princeton recently ( I always try to drive her but she snuck out like a teenager!)

We have no clue how we can get her to accept she isn't able to do the things she's always done without her throwing a fit.

Give me a moody teenager over a stubborn pensioner any day!

In a sense, I am lucky that mine  has a very poor memory. So when she puts things away, or sets them down, she has no idea where they are.  At the moment, her car keys, and her handgun are both 'missing'. Not really, she thinks she's lost them, and I know I have them in the safe. I fished her hearing aide out of the rubbish, just before taking it to the kerb. She told me she thought she had just changed the battery, and sure enough, they were both in there together. Naturally, it would be the last bag of four left to go through.

Today, one of the cordless phones was missing, and it turned up outside on the back patio. She isn't meant to GO out there on her own, and neither of us took it out there. Must have been the faeries. And I've spent two hours searching for the dongle for her fit bit. She kept insisting all she does is plug it in to the computer, and it syncs it. Not, that only charges it. I found that in  the drawer with the knives and forks!

Mine's sneaky too, very cunning. And as stubborn as  two year old. She has a very nasty temper, and will pitch a three-cornered fit  when she can't get her way. Honestly, my actual children were never as misbehaved as she is!

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

There is some mixed feelings about that in the fertility experts community, but my luteal phase is long - it isn't my issue according to my RE.  Obgyn prescribed it with my last successful pregnancy, but I didn't take it.  No use keeping a bad pregnancy around longer than it needs to.

I am taking baby aspirin after being suggested it by multiple docs.

I couldn't deal with something touching my cervix all the time.  The Dane will get the snip when the time comes.  He has known guys who've had it done are back to work the next day.

I think the thought of getting the snip is worse than the actual procedure for a lot of blokes.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Long story short. In 2002. With 18 inches of snow on the ground, my father got my rear drive sedan stuck sideways blocking a one way street. He was trying to take it to go play mah jong. He was a gambler. All public transportation had been shut down, but he felt that he could drive. For an hour and a half, I was cursing him out as I shoveled it out. And he called me crazy.

I feel the pain, she got her chevy blazer stuck at the bottom of the mountain in the only snow we had this winter, threw a tantrum like a 2 year old when we said the car could stay at the bottom until the snow melted.

I should clarify that many doctors (all of mine except one included) do not believe that it is necessary without a short luteal phase and tests that indicated low progesterone.  That's something that I know for a fact isn't a problem.

There was a time in the 80s and 90s when it was routinely prescribed to all women with a history of pregnancy loss...but the research has shown that it just delays an inevitable miscarriage if there is an issue with the embryo.  I'm a clomid and progesterone baby myself, but my mother had like a 7 day luteal phase.  Mine is 14.

good friends indeed, are hard to come by.

I've lost many in the past, even people I'v done nothing to. We are all dealing with a lot of #######, and tend to be selfish, it's rough.

I hope Mrs. T-B is okay. Send her a big hug from this random Mexican stranger in an immigration forum!

You have us, si D2 ma'am.

Mrs. T-B. is still crestfallen but better, realizing that she has put up with loca-amiga longer than just about anyone, longevity man.
