I introduced the redneck to lamb curry Indian style, they don't do much in the way of spicy food round here unless you count Mexican, judging by the amount eaten I'm guessing he likes it...

He is still in agony with his trapped nerve, google has not been his friend and he is convinced he has 'something bad' - I am alternating between sympathy and frustration

Sunday means I packed stepdaughter off in the care of his mom and I get to spend my time doing fun things like laundry, cleaning, washing floors and tending to the poorly one.

I am hoping to make time to go to Mass this evening, its sometimes challenging  being a Catholic in a house full of staunch Baptists but Redneck got me a beautiful rosary to replace mine that got broken during the move, he tries

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Mini-B.'s last week of skool is next week, graduate wee man.

There will be some kind of award or ceremony for his reading, but we couldn't understand Mrs. T-B.'s explanation, no man.

Yay!

Oh they are these ones are bantam chochins so they are smaller then the regular chickens. This puts me at 23 chickens for a little bit.

Hot. Very hot. Heat index says 97, and the darn sun has come out. I went outside to see if I could get a bit of work done, but it's like breathing with a wet sweater over your head. I expect we are in for a bumpy night.

We were dying in it. We went to Crater of Diamonds and felt like melting.

Now I want you guys to think about this for a second. Have you ever had a smoke detector start warning you that the back up battery is low, during the day time?  Or do they always start that annoying beep in the middle of the night...

Oh ya a few times. I'm pretty sure it does it more often but with all the noise we probably just don't hear it.

It is official, grrr and eyeroll man.

Despite prewarsh spray, heavy-duty cycle, & use of hot water, drum roll man...

Mrs. T-B. has managed to foul another expensive* bathmat -- and her bath towel -- with hair-color, grrrRRR man.

*probably $2 or even $Many at an ES, why even bother expending the effort or funds man

Any white bathmat promptly and automatically gets hair-color on it, ruined man.

Any colored bathmat promptly and automatically gets bleach on it, ruined man.

Response is automatic eye-flutters and an innocent "It was an accident," like that excuses anything man.

I try not to buy white anything.

I think my Memorial day BBQ is a wash all right. This will be 2 Memorial days in a row that it has rained..

A Navy skydiver was killed today during a demonstration by the statue of liberty. His chute didn't open, and he hit the water...

We did not vehicularly leave the casa, no man.

Instead, we walked the few houses down to neighborhood* barbecue, trek man.

*purely Americano and not inefficient Brit-Canadian spelling, si man

We had 2 humongous hamburgers, one slightly undercooked, ingest man.

We then had 2 essentially whole-but-deboned filets of (probably) grouper, ingest man.

We then had a full bowl of potato salad, ingest man.

We then had 2 bowls of watermelon pieces, ingest man.

We then had Many (2+2) brownies, ingest man.

All of this soon exited "stage rear," run back to casa for this purpose we man.

We implicate the potato salad, suspect we man.

Mini-B. played nonstop with other offspring, sweaty wee man.

Mrs. T-B. yakked bilingually with Many (2+1) amigas, yak she with they man.

Both arrived at casa after dark and sweating like pigs, oink they man.

Mrs. T-B. came home to eat, yak yak yak YAK YAK Yak YAK but not eat :bonk: she man.

Who the dickens goes to a barbecue and comes home hungry, huh man?

Garrulous Cousinette-T-B. having a barbecue on Monday, from "Many p.m. till whenever," :bonk: she man.

First, it's supposed to monsoon on Monday, first man.

Second, there won't be enough room in-casa for her typical guest list if it rains, second man.

Many'rd, who wants to go to a function that starts mere hours before the first day of a workweek, huh man?

Many'th, her invitees will probably still be sick after their properly-held-on-Sunday barbecues, Many'th man.

Many'th, who wants a headache from listening to her incessant yakking, huh man?

We might still be legitimately sick, from feelings of things now man.

This would enable a perfect beg-off excuse, not have to leave casa at all man.
