The Little Troll decided to get up at 2am for the day after going to bed at 10pm.  I have feeeeelings about this.  He decided to tucker down for a nap at 6am, but by then it was hard to go back to sleep.

 

My daughter's friend is over here every day lately or they are running back and forth between the houses.  I'm wondering how long this will last before they get tired of each other.

My kid does this with her bestie down the block. 2 little sissies back and forth all day long...

Her mom works for scholastic books. So my kid gets a lotta free books!

Tonsils are actually a really important part of thr immune system.  Mine just happen to be prone to abscess which now makes them a liability.  I had a lot of tonsillitis as a teen and young adult but all cleared up with very mild antibiotics.

We got to arise at o'dark-Many this morn to take Mini-B. to skool, we groggily take wee man.

Mini-B. actually got dressed by himself upon the first suggestion of same, cooperative wee man.

 

We met a couple of his classmates' parents, congenial they men/ma'ams.

Those other parents are all so young, late parental start we man.

 

Mrs. T-B. phoned us only once to check on the proceedings, phone we she man.

This is 1/Many'th (0.00000Many) of the usual number of times, falling-down-on-the-job she man.

We are pretty average where we live in terms of ages, but we are starting to be a little old now that we've hit our 30s to keep thinking about having more.  It seems the usually pattern is 4 kids in short succession in your 20s.   There is a fair number of very young mothers in their teen years as well.  There is no stigma here on getting pregnant in high school and keeping the child, which I think is admirable.

Mine were 5 years apart. They are in their late thirties and dearly forties now. No grandchildren. Most people around where I live are in their 80's. Funny to hear them call us 'the kids'.

I'm in the process of losing more weight and getting closer to finishing my degree before we can try again.  The heavier I am and the more sugar I consume, the later I ovulate and the poorer the quality of the egg.  

 

I've lost 15 as of this morning and it seems to be coming off pretty steadily with just doing my regular chores and eating nutritious foods.  I'd love to lose another 30 and I think I can time it with being in a good place school wise too.
