It's hard, she was basically left to herself for 2 years after her mom died and as she gets good grades and is quiet, doesn't go out roaming the streets everyone assumed she was a 'good, sensible kid' and she's not wild or acting out she is just incredibly immature, gullible and naive - she looks like a full grown woman but has the maturity of a 10 year old - not a good mix...

Our long evening of scanning everything she has ever done online unearthed a screenshot of a YouTube video with her picture and over 160,000 views - we cannot find any video in her files, spent hours searching YouTube without success and she is denying ever making a video or putting anything on YouTube, we desperately need to find it to see what the heck she's got herself in to

Did you have her log onto her youtube account? Finding anything she uploaded should not be that hard if you know her user name. 

I'm not surprised by how confronting her went it's very typical at that age.

I'd also would have reported the guy to FB saying he is contacting minors and encouraging a relationship. They may delete his account and even though he would just use another he has going. It would at least slow him down with your daughter.

My friend's daughter has 2 biological parents. But lived with a nanny her entire life without parental involvement.

Does she have a gmail account? That email will be also attached to youtube, basically it's her youtube account.

Why have a child if you aren't going to be part of their life? 

 

It wasn't intentional neglect or that no one cared but her mom died suddenly and left a lot of debt so her Dad had to work constantly and she spent a lot of time with her grannies and neither are tech savvy so internet use got overlooked.  That and she was her moms only child so her maternal granny gives her everything she wants.

 

That has changed in the last year since I got here but still work in progress...

You're welcome, I've got older kids, and a daughter who is easily a target.

very true, but like most kids she probably has them saved on her computer. Even if she didn't save the password the email names is enough to find what they need.

It's so interesting to hear different stories. 

I lost my mom before 3. And when my father remarried when I was 10, it was like I didn't exist anymore. Like I'm just a burden. Long story. 

 

In the case of my friend's daughter. My friend was working in a restaurant. The married boss knocked her up on a one night stand, and no one wanted this child. Subsequently, he paid for an apartment and a nanny. She went on to become a rich guy's mistress....

 

The daughter got pregnant at 14, and she's a junkie, with a pitbull. Last I spoke with her, the kid came outta the hospital and is in rehab. 

 

That's the short version of the story.

Hey you guys remember I was complaining about the kids ballet school a while back? 

I said I'm not paying them to train me a world class ballerina? I'm paying to watch my daughter dance? 

Maybe they did train me a world class ballerina  lol...

Btw, they now have a glass wall, and the parents get to watch their kids now, and take pictures. 

 

For you new guys. I was all pissed off at her ballet school because they wouldn't even let the parents watch their kids dance. I don't even have 1 single pic of my kid dancing. I pulled her out of that school. Citing that I'm paying to watch my kid dance, not for you to train a world class ballerina!
