Sizing is weird on average. The vanity size thing? I never understood that. I haven't been a 0 ever in my life, but some places tell me that's what to order, by the measurements.

 

MIL home this afternoon from the rehab. Using a walker.

 

UD has apparently been to NE, now traveling back to VA.  Decided not to bother coming here after all. Yay.

 

Is anyone traveling to see the eclipse in August? I've got rooms booked in two places, I have to go somewhere from here if I am going to see totality.  That ought to cover the weather being ####### in one or the other.

Well with wedding dresses the bust is usually the size that you measure to.  My bust is actually a 14 while my body is more 6-8.  But unfortunately they order the size to fit to the largest part usually the bust.  Make sense?

Total eclipse, and it goes all the way across the country. Big deal in some circles. Here, and hour out of LR, it would only be partial. I am going to MO or KY , both offer 2 minutes and change of totally.

I hardly ever buy clothes, I have trouble getting anything that fits, being short, and short-waisted. 

So you have to get a big dress to fit on top, and then have to have it altered to fit the rest. Meh.

Ah ok, I'm the camp that I've seen it once and that is enough for me camp

Yup :/ it's a mermaid style so the hips/butt fit need to hug too.  Sometimes the alterations are close to the amount of the dress

I'm a geek.  Weather, pretty much anything going on over head. Not to be missed

 

The Husband went to Mexico in 1991, and totality then was 6 minutes and change. Pea green with envy when I heard that.

The ballet, she had to audition for. (remember I was complaining about the pvt dance school I sent her to?) This program is 1 day a week, they bus her to  Manhattan. Again, only Honor roll students.

What does the school think about it?  Are they used to students missing that much school?  Is that an approved absence?

 

IMO, it isn't a big deal especially given that she seems fine academically.  I think of school as being more about socialization though.

Yeah, apparently it's NYC/ dept of education sanctioned. I dunno what's going on. The school notified us in advance that she was going to be auditioned. Then she comes home with a long letter and an enrollment form. 

I really don't like the idea that she'll miss that much school. It puts pressure on me to make sure she's keeping up with the curriculum. 

But she's driving me bananas. She wants it.
