OK, I'm serious now....

The kid got a scholarship to a prestigious ballet school in NYC. Problem is, she's in the violin program already, and misses 3 classes a week. And, starting Sept, if she accepts this scholarship, she will miss 1 day of school a week.

She's really looking forward to it. But I'm on the fence now. The enrollment has to be filled out.

She's really good in school. I wouldn't normally brag. Her avg grade is 100.

Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make fun of you. I was just being my nutty self. Forgive me.

I'd normally direct all the pun at the female mod here....

If she wants to do it & can manage it without her school work suffering I don't see why not ( and congratulations to her!)

Healthy is my life atm...I need to lose a dress size for my wedding dress for our wedding celebration in September.  We've been waiting to have a party for two years now

I need to get to the same weight I was last passport photo when I go to renew it this year.  #motivation

10 is probably the actual size before they modified them for our modern chubby butts.

Ok 3 classes a week for violin? Do these places not think about kids school and do things after school hours?

So she will be missing 3 classes and 1 day of school.

Look I'm no genius but to me that is too much for kids. It could be because I have had kids struggle so I see it differently but it seems like that is over kill.

Oh and doesn't she change her mind on what she wants to do?

yes, 3 classes a week for violin, and 1 hour after school 1 day a week. It's only offered to Honor roll students.

The ballet, she had to audition for. (remember I was complaining about the pvt dance school I sent her to?) This program is 1 day a week, they bus her to  Manhattan. Again, only Honor roll students.

Yes, I'm thinking it's too much classroom time lost.
