On the matter of childbirth, I am actually worried that I will go into labor living where I do.  When I went in for my last section, I was apparently in labor and had absolutely no idea.

Based on a recent one I've seen (deets changed), let's say that I hypothetically total my car and haven't bothered to carry insurance on it.  

 

And yes, I rolled my eyes so hard at that and people actually fell for it.

what's so revolting about women being literally... women? We are bonding, party pooper.

last week in Mexico City, now officially. 

I can't wait to be back and see my boston terrier, Tapioca.

Enjoy the ocean, read, draw, and just relax and plan my trip to Asia.

Also just under two weeks until I see my flaco, and I can't wait to be the little spoon to someone else than my pillow.

I remember as a younger girl praying that it would never happen.  It was like some sort of nightmare realized when it did.  They should know these things, daughters and all.

oh lord how can you not tell you're in labor? I guess it isn't painful for some women?

pregnancy and childbirth scare me overall. The older I get, the more I think about it, the more I think it might not be for me.

I had a ''false alarm'' when I was 10. My mom didn't explain anything, she actually told me pads were for when she ''accidentally would pee on herself a little'' which honestly was way more terrifying. I didn't start until I was 13, which means I've been bleeding monthly for almost 20 years. We deserve a friggin' medal, and chocolate while they're at it!

I suspect for me it is two-fold - one, that I am in pain 24/7 and don't notice slight muscle twinges that would indicate the beginning of labor (my obgyn has remarked that I have an incredibly high pain tolerance) and two that I hadn't transitioned to the point of labor that you feel like you must push the baby out, yah know what you see in movies when the women is screaming and panting.

We had a restful Sunday, tranquil we man:

 

-- Warshered/baked/folded Many (2+2+2) laundry loads, atop the 2 from Sat. night;

-- Visited Many (2+1) supermarkets;

-- Warshed the T-B.-mobile & Mrs.-T-B.-mobile;

-- Selected shirts & ties for the week;

-- Made first Many (2+1) lunches for the week;

-- Fed Mrs. T-B. pills for shoulder, cold, and (si man) sangre de mes, if that's the term man.

 

Next comes a restful week of selling/quality-testing pre-owned toilet seats, whee man.

Uggghhh, my mother did a terrible job explaining it.  The first time for me the blood was old, so it wasn't really red - I though I had pooed myself at school.  

 

I had definitely hit puberty and she hadn't sent me to school with supplies or anything like the other mothers.
