My friends arrived early this morning, the train finally arriving at 0427. Long night waiting for sure. Took them to breakfast and got home about 0630. We all went right off to bed. I took them on a short tour of downtown anywhere America. With the temp at 111, we didn't ramble around at all. He was totally enchanted with the local Sonic and his Resees peanut custard. To the point of getting out of the car in the heat to take photos. Seriously.

I am taking them out for tea at 19:00, and we leave midday tomorrow for Branson.

So far, the MIL has behaved. I think it's because half the time she has no idea what they are saying. She thinks they have a "charming" accent, which is MIL speak for how peculiar.

Friends, train, Sonic, custard, and Branson pics....

Trophie is rich again!

I told the Dane I wanted to buy an SUV.  I get that my car is technically an SUV, even though it really is just a jacked up compact, but like a real SUV with bull bars....

He said no, that I'd just be unhappy and want another upgrade after a while.

Either way, all I have is a check with someone else's name on it, so not rich.  -_-

Hey I just noticed  that the apple pie that Tiff's  friend's friend brought over, is gone. Like not because we ate it, but because it's....gone! Lmao...

That's nuts. There's a friend of mine that has that problem with one of her friends. She brings stuff over for the party but then leaves early with the food and then everyone is left wondering what happened.

You'll blow the feathers right off of them man!

Well, they'd be cool with no feathers.

And, you will not have to pluck feathers to cook them...

Hey, aren't chicken like heat-proof?

Don't they like to be hot?

Over 85  starts to get uncomfortable for them.

The fan new fan is for inside the coop it got real hot in there last night. I don't let them have access to the run at night. Raccoons, opossums, and other nasty guys come out at night. I built my coop and run like Fort Knox, I put locks on all doors and and 1/2 inch hardware cloth the screens on. The run and coop ceiling are also hardware cloth for air cerculation then I have a metal roof over the coop and run. It's pretty secure but I don't want my girls at risk so they get locked up inside. That is why I got the fan. :)
