So it seems we have a few guys going through our neighbourhood selling vivint security. Thing is the guy showed up to a house who is a vivnt authorize dealer. She checked out his ID number because of a bad feeling. Well the guy has been terminated awhile back. The guy tries to get into the house to talk about it. There have been reports of ppl getting broken into after letting this guy in. 

 

So now on the neighbourhood page they are arguing whether ppl should call 911 or the non emergency line. One guy said to call 911 as that is what the police told him to do. 911 keeps a log of how many ppl call the non emergency line does not keep any records and since these guys pound on the door and don't give up that is looked as dangerous and should call 911.

Rule of thumb, if you didn't solicit them, don't talk to them...

A lot of door to door guys are criminals.

You can say to the guy, "ok, would you mind if I call a police car over to verify your identity first?"

They never get time to spew their ####### here. I shut the door and my dogs go nuts. They go away fast. But sadly they are canvasing this area all day long. Ppl have them on security camera's they are in the area till after 8pm. 

 

I do like you idea though. Their city ID is still good but the buys Vivint ID is dead. When you look it up it's not found but call the 800 number and they will look it up and tel you he was canned.

This is not surprising.  Even having unsupervised time with someone of the opposite gender can severely demote you in the church.
