I totally get this.  I have two employers on my resumes that no longer are in business.  You want their phone number? Sure here it is, good luck with that. Considering I worked at one place for 6 years doing 3 different roles, yeah I can see how that would be frustrating for a potential employer.  I ended up using people who had worked for there as references when I moved to the USA, BUT I doubt anyone was called as it was Canada.  Even one of my previous bosses at my last job didn't answer me when I was like "Can I still use you as a reference?" in a text msg.  I assumed no answer meant no and took her off the reference list. 

 

in other news I went through my contact list... I still have my grandma in there.  I can't bring myself to delete the number yet.  I didn't see any inheritance there, but considering I saw her once a year I can't say I blame her.  I am bad about Christmas and birthday cards too. *note to self*

I hear the resume thing. My last Canadian employer was the VG Hospital in Halifax. Now called something entirely different, and in a different location to boot. My only other employer is in NZ. I had three references from there, and even given the time change/date change thing, they actually rang them all. And I did get the job, although when everyone here started to crumble around me I had to give it up.

It's quite stormy around here tonight, and the rain came down in stair rods late this afternoon. I think we are going to get more tonight.

 

O2 concentrator arrived, and the lady was sensible to deal with. He tried it out this afternoon.  Now I just have to get used to sleeping with Darth Vader in the room. It's breathing!

Ya storm is heading here too. It rain some today but it wasn't bad. I had to close up the one window in the chicken coop so the chickens don't get wet. 

 

Glad the O2 arrived. I'm all too familiar that sound.

Mrs. T-B. was called to an emergency translation job today, blow out of here she man.

It was a Child Protective Services removal of 2 children, sigh man.

One was Many (2x2x2+2) years old, the other Many (2+2+2) years old, sigh man.

Both normal kids and a justified removal, according to Mrs. T-B. she man.

Mrs. T-B. was gone for Many (2x2x2-1) hours, intrepid she man.

We are grateful for Mrs. T-B. and the good mommies here in this thread, appreciate she ma'ams.

We seem to go through table knives like that.  However, we also run the dishwasher 1-2 times a day.

I was sure it would keep me awake. He has about 25 feet of tubing on it, so I wheeled the entire apparatus into the next room, and closed the door behind it. Hardly heard it at all.

I sure did hear the thunder about 0430, and the lightening was pretty much constant. We have just under 4 inches since yesterday, and it's still raining.  I wonder if I will ever get into the garden before June.

I put the air con on  yesterday. I've been trying to stretch out that tiny bit of the calendar where you don't need heating or cooling, but it was 82 in here yesterday.

I got a new purse tonight. I wanted something smaller as I don't need to carry as much for the kids. 

Hillbilly went to the candy place in the mall grabbed me some chocolate covered amaretto pecan's and salted caramel cashews. 

 

Then had to run over to walmart to grab some lunch meat and fruit snacks for tomorrow. We are headed to magic springs for the day.

I got to spend today alone shopping.  That was glorious.

 

I also hit my lowest weight in 10 months this morning.  Go me.
