Mine's in bed, where she's been since yesterday, after passing out. The Nurse that turned up explained that there isn't anything to be done for her present state, that she is in a gradual decline, and offered her Hospice care, which horrified her, and she vehemently refused. It's the only way I can get respite care, but she won't hear of it. I've got an interview on the 12th in Memphis, and I don't know what I'm going to do with her. The Nurse yesterday also said she can't be left alone, even for an hour.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. You'll need a lot of strenght :)

We've told ours that if she doesn't start behaving like a adult we're doing a drive by at the nursing home and leaving her there!

I got a tiny bit mad and told her is she wants it stacked she'd better get her butt down there and stack it.

I was/am exhausted so took myself to bed for a nap and left em to it :)

It's true. It's funny, that the people with the most money, in this case, the daughter really,  are still greedy for more. She's just retired, and so has her husband, each has two pensions plus shortly Social Security, 5 houses, three bare lots to build on. She changes her car every year, and so does he. They travel incessantly. Still fretting to death about her Mothers money and her bits and bobs. I don't understand people that think that way.

So how can she expect you to take care of HER mother?

And practically for free?

Yeah, I know it's your MIL, but still not a real family.

And you already have your husband to look for.

I hope you'll fight with her about it.

Even if you're too tired, cause being a nurse 24/7 for such a long time would make anyone exhaused.

No offence, of course :)

Money or the possibility of it brings out the worst in some people, my sister has actually told my mum ( who is still very much with us) what she plans to spend her inheritance on! I am encouraging Mum to spend every penny on living and having fun...

MIL is telling everyone what a sterling job she's doing looking after redneck....she gets him a bottle of water every now and then **sigh**

Im taking them out for a drive this afternoon, think I'll do a slow ride past the nursing home, maybe pop in and get some leaflets 😈

I'm off to stack a ton of firewood and move another ton of mulch, if I survive I'll be back to do lunch and supper 👀

Happy 4th to you all 🇺🇸

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

I do like your idea of the drive by..... :D

Do not do yourself an injury moving all that junk, does it have to be done in the heat?

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

So, I caught tiff throwing #### away! Red handed!

You know the wrought iron thingy you use to handle a hot grill? It was laying on the floor by the charcoal stove last night. It was gone this morning! I confronted her. Cornered, she admitted to throwing it away, even though she didn't know what it was. I made her dig thru the garbage to get it back. And I laid into her!

I threatened to cancel the BBQ.
