It's 90 degrees out so what does MIL do.....gets a load of firewood delivered and instructs me to get out and stack it....

As much as they sell he can dig ours up and sell it! Then he can go eat some!

Oh boy. That's a bit mad! I'd suggest...not. 

 

 

Mine's in bed, where she's been since yesterday, after passing out. The Nurse that turned up explained that there isn't anything to be done for her present state, that she is in a gradual decline, and offered her Hospice care, which horrified her, and she vehemently refused. It's the only way I can get respite care, but she won't hear of it. I've got an interview on the 12th in Memphis, and I don't know what I'm going to do with her. The Nurse yesterday also said she can't be left alone, even for an hour.

We've told ours that if she doesn't start behaving like a adult we're doing a drive by at the nursing home and leaving her there!

I got a tiny bit mad and told her is she wants it stacked she'd better get her butt down there and stack it.

 

I was/am exhausted so took myself to bed for a nap and left em to it

Sounds like you guys might need to go to court to get her proper medical help, i.e. you need to be legally in charge of her healthcare.

I don't think there is much they can do for her, in a medical sense. Her daughter is POA at present and has refused to give it up. She is confusing that with her future role as executrix of the will, in which she gets the lot. She can't be made to understand the difference.

 

I'm not going to wait on the MIL  to make up her mind, I'm calling around tomorrow to see if I can get someone in. Or somewhere I can take her for a couple of nights.

Time to pack her bags and send her to her daughter. 

 

Another reason her daughter likes you taking care of her is the care facilities will look at her money and such then charge her through the nose. That cuts into the daughters inheritance.

Oh and to add what a messed up family they leave everything to the daughters only.
