It was the kids last day of school for the school year. Man it's late. Why? Because there's about 10 ethnic holidays throughout the year. Why don't we just observe everyone's holidays and not have school....

pretzels and agave beer for dinner, healthy enough right?

I didn't feel like fixing myself anything else.

 

Two more days of tattoos before I see my husband. I keep thinking ''He will only be here less than four days'' 

but that's four more days zero, so I need to stop whining  and try my best to enjoy it. 

 

Also looking forward to the Stanley Kubrick exhibit in town, 200+ pieces!

➺ 02/08/17 Case Assigned to USCIS Nebraska, sigh. 

➺ 02/13/17 We got our NOA1! PD: February 8th 

➺ 12/15/17 NOA2 finally! after 10 1/2 months. 

➺ 12/21/17 NVC confirmed they received our file 

➺ 01/22/18 Documents sent to Rapidvisa 

➺ 02/05/18  NVC received our package 

➺ 03/15/18 Case complete! 

➺ 06/27/18  We got our Interview date! August 28th 

➺ 08/30/18 The package arrived (waited at Juarez)

➺ 08/31/18 Entered the U.S with my husband 

➺ 02/13/19 Husband confesses he cheated, leaves

➺ 02/16/19 Husband decides to abandon the marriage

➺ 05/13/19  I am officially divorced. 

 ➺ 07/03/20  I file to remove conditions on my own     

 ➺ 08/13/21 I finally get my biometrics appointment 

➺ 02/26/22 I got my interview assigned: March 31st.

You guys seem to be able to visit quite often.  We had 3 visits after marriage and only 2 during the process.  And you're able to stay fairly busy.

 

I am doing my hair on saturday.  Hopefully this is the result

That is an awful lot of visits for a bi-country romance.  

 

Before we moved in together, it was 3.5 months and 4.5 months in between seeing the Dane.  It actually went by pretty quickly.  

 

I won't knock you for feeling like it sucks as I refused to live separately once we got married.  I had the luxury of being able to live in his country, however.

I got grabbed in for a hug by the hips earlier and it compressed my spine in the spot that it tends to hurt.  Owie owie owie.

We see each other every two-three months approximately, but right now we have a few trips that are just one month apart.

Don't know how long the process will be so we're looking into other options while we wait, like him staying with me for a few months,

if it goes beyond a year. So frustrating.

 

more than three months apart at a time? I'd spend most of that time crying and eating ice cream. I'm a big cliche.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
