Kids actually let me sleep in. It wasn't till 6:30 did the Jedi wake me up. The Tornado slept till just after 7.

Then, I saw today that a relative's fiancé has got her into Herbalife and they are opening one of those super sketchy family nutrition clubs.  Yuck.

 

 

Herbalife was a good stock from a year ago....

Heading out on a long road trip from New Mexico to Montana on Friday. It's been awhile since I've "enjoyed" a long trip like this - the motorcycle ride from Iowa to NM 3 years ago doesn't count as it was a total grind - but I think I'm ready. The Colombiana is skeptical on there being any enjoyment factor on this journey. I'm ordering up a free 1 month subscription to XM radio in addition to amassing a lot of my now-supposedly-obsolete mp3's onto a single thumb drive. The dog crate has been fully tested on a trip to Colorado a couple of months ago. Dog friendly motels are booked, although this is not the ideal time of year for finding bargains on travel in the Mountain West. It's the closest thing they have to a high season other than the start of Elk hunting season in the Fall. Hoping the wife likes Yellowstone Park on the 3rd day, otherwise it could be a long dreary trip.

 

Will be celebrating the engagements of two of my nephews in Montana. Later this year they'll be marrying long time girlfriends. At 28 and 32 yrs, respectively, I guess they're fitting the millenials model of delaying marriage.

I feel bad for people who become addicted because of the over prescription of opiates and their miseducation regarding them.  However, I realize that it is an active choice to take medications you don't really need - you can just take ibuprofen after root canals and surgery and just say no to the opiates.  It isn't hard to do, just say "no thanks".  

 

I think it might be more of actual natural selection, it is a disease that takes out the susceptible.  Those who aren't prone to addiction survive.

I'm not convinced. Seems to me the leading cause of death in America is....dumb. As a box of rocks.
