I don't have the patience, or the endurance, for that sort of thing. I had long straight hair parted in the middle,  but then who didn't in the 60's. The day my youngest child went to school, I went in and had it bobbed. Still bobbed, so in fact I have had the same hair style since 1984. I wash it, comb it, and that is it. It's bone stick straight, fine, and won't take a perm, in fact nothing I've tried has any effect on  it in the least. The way it's cut, it falls into place. No fuss, no muss, and certainly no hours and hours messing with it.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

then she says she just adjusted status from INSIDE the U.S with the help of a good lawyer. 

Right yeah no, not the same thing. I wanted to strangle her.

 

Thinking that our RFE is going to be inevitable. Only thing we can do is prepare the letter explaining previous CR1,

my original divorce decree from a year before my actual papers (registry took forever, I was basically scammed by previous lawyer who dropped my divorce process in the middle of it)

We are also working on more financial co mingling, Husband has a credit card with my name, I'm opening a joint account as well. 

considering the distance and the fact we don't live together, we're doing as much as we can. 

This is truly a nightmare, but I have to stay positive and think of the silver lining. 

It's an opportunity to grow, travel on my own, enjoy and figure out myself as well. At least I need to believe that.

Had a scare yesterday. Thought Scarlet (chicken) was sick. under her eye was swollen so much is was actually closing her eye a little bit. She had no other symptom of sinus infection but all the ppl commenting on it were thinking it was just by her picture. I was about to go to TSC and get an antibiotic to give her. Then this morning she came out of the coop. I looked her over while she was eating and she looked fine. Swelling and colour all back to normal. Darn chicken seems to have been stung by the fire ants she was eating.

Nothing much here, other than rain. The forecast was for high winds,  and plenty of thunder. If there was thunder overnight, I didn't hear it, and it usually wakes me straight away.  The weather radio went off half a dozen times early in the evening, with those super loud tornado warnings, but nothing happened around here.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
