I think it may have had to do with ancient times, they didn't understand the immune system, bacteria, virus, etc...

So all they knew was, if mother and baby went out too soon, they got sick.  Know what I mean?

It is nice though, because the new mother gets to rest, not care what she looks like, and gets help with the baby.  Not a bad deal.

And each culture have their own "postpartum recipes" to nourish mother (and child).

And less contact with the outside definitely minimizes the chance of exposure to diseases.

I couldn't go anywhere without help anyhow because the car seat weighes more than I was allowed to carry.

Most people just carry it anyway, but it isn't healthy for a baby to be in a car seat all the time.  You can just take them out and put them in a bassinet stroller or carry them, etc.  Plus a lot of people use convertible car seats nowadays.  To get three across in our car you can't use the carry-bucket type of car seat.

Mothers with older children still need to lift/carry them too after a c-section.

I haven't hung upside down in a while.  It is normal for me to have these sinus swelling issues.

Ah, I got it....old chinese remedy, eat an owl.

My cousin who owns a restaurant? He's once saw an owl on my property, now he pesters me to shoot it. I'm like, "what are you f-ing crazy? It's a felony!" Besides the fact that I won't kill anything that I won't eat. I really do love animals.

Come to think of it, he keeps asking me to shoot my pet bear, prompting me to ban bear hunting on my property.

He keeps saying it'll take care of his headaches.

Lemme do some googling see if I can find anything on it.

Try a neti pot?

Sudafed vs Mucinex.

Sudaphed shrinks your nasal passages. Try that?

Mucinex loosens/ thins your mucus.

I only take pseudo ephedrine if I have a sinus infection.  Normally I just take ibuprofen, but I can't at the moment.
