Tiff doesn't have to cook. She's rich.

Mmm-hmmm.  I wouldn't cook nearly as much if I didn't have to.

My daughter is exuberant that her kale has sprouted.  She loves kale.  #futurehipster

Dislike kale. If that were all there was to eat, I'd starve first.

Phone meeting with Case Manager at Rehab. She had a few questions about the MIL and her recent behavior.  She understands that the MIL is not a valid source of info, and she gets points for that.

She's there for a ten day stay, and having OT and PT 6 hours a day. Confined to a wheel chair at  present, and won't even be using a walker for the time being. She's had a cognitive test to see what her memory is like. Not good. In fact she didn't remember even having the test an hour later. She isn't to drive anymore, and she can't be left on her own overnight. They are going to take her into respite care the dates we are going to be away this summer. Since UD didn't want to know.

We have a 'family conference' on the 22nd, and she may be released on the 25th, depending how she does. Maybe, just maybe, we are getting somewhere finally.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I am glad to hear that someone is listening to your concerns.

Is it raw kale you don't like or cooked or both?  I find it to be similar to spinach, except that I could probably eat way more raw spinach.

Both. They like here, the MIL and the Husband. I don't even like the smell of it cooking. Not a huge fan of spinach either.

It's great that someone other than me sees the things I do.  The MIL tends to be very paranoid, and is of the beef that I am concocting stories to get her into trouble. Honestly, if I were trying to gaslight her, I'd be a whole lot better at it.

Glad you have someone who understands and is asking the right things.

I have discovered lactose free ice cream, I no longer have to pay big dollars for a tiny tub of coconut milk impersonation 😍

I like cooked kale, mustard greens, and collard greens.

In fact, I should grow some. I think collard greens grow into December.

The old farmer Campbell who's orchard I used to hunt, he had a lot of collard greens. And the best golden delicious apples ever existed. He was a poor businessman. A lot of his apples lay wasted on the ground.

He had a beautiful 62 acre orchard in Columbia County NY, 2 ponds, 2 houses. When he was selling the orchard, I asked how much he wanted, he said 250k. I thought it was worth 150. So I didn't make an offer. Then the next year he told me he sold it for 160. I was like #### I woulda given you 160 or more.

It worked out good, because the locals in Columbia are nasty, and the nearest town, Hudson NY, is like...Like ####. I ended up in Sullivan, much better people, much nicer town, much nicer landscape.

Does she still have her wits?

In part. She's getting assessed this week, so they will have the numbers by the time of the conference.  She can still work all her devices, on the whole, but does get confused between the house phone, and her cell. Can no longer understand how to work the TV remote, and has got trouble with her Keurig. She has driven through the garage door without opening it, and tried to put the door to the garage down by using the house alarm. Confusion seems to be an issue, and of course the memory problems.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
