Working while I-751 pending

Hi everyone,

I'm ready to mail out my application. But here's my question. Can we legally work with extension letter while I-751 pending?

Absolutely.

To expand a little: you can work because you are never out of status during the process. Even if your letter expires before you are approved, you are still a legal permanent resident and entitled to work, etc.. The letter (or subsequent I551 stamp(s)) provide proof of your status, but the status itself doesn't change unless you are actually denied at the end of all this (which is highly unlikely.)
