My spouse's entry date was 02/18/17 and entry I94 expires on 05/18/17. We went to get her drivers license permit yesterday and they denied issuing her one since her I94 expires in 6 days. Is there a way around this or should we wait until her green card arrives?

Unfortunately we did not file for her EAD either since she is not looking to work.

If you're in CA, wait for her green card to arrive. For CA, I believe that (based on Visa Journey posts) you can obtain a driver's license with a I-94 that has at least 30 days remaining but the license will expire once your I-94 expires. You can cross check with your local DMV.

Married to US Citizen. I'm the beneficiary.
