From what I understand I will take docs requested ( more financial evidence & a mexico police report ) to Ciudad Juarez for my Husbands Interview. I do not need to send anything to NVC is the question. As for financial evidence what more can I take if when I lived in Oregon I worked a full time job and once I married my husband I stayed in Mexico with him and no longer work. The plan is once we arrive in Oregon I will work and so will my husband. I submitted in the documents to nvc job offers for both myself and my husband that I recieved from a previous work employer and a friend of the family for my husband, My parents will help us get on our feet for the meanwhile I explained that in the AOS doc ... what else can I take with me to show .....

PLEASE HELP !

______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________ We reviewed the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and financial evidence you sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). According to the current poverty guidelines for a household of your size, the income you listed does not meet the minimum requirement to sponsor the intending immigrant(s) on this petition. If you provided NVC with proof of assets in lieu of income in order to meet the minimum income threshold, please note these assets will not be evaluated by NVC and will only be considered at the time of the visa interview. NVC will continue working on your case and will schedule a visa interview appointment overseas. If you have not included evidence of your assets in your submission to NVC, please make sure that you bring the evidence to the interview appointment. If you do not have proof of assets to meet the hem complete the appropriate Affidavit of Support form and give it to the visa applicant to submit at their visa interview, along with supporting financial evidence such as IRS tax returns. Do not send these documents to NVC. During the visa interview a consular officer will review any proof of assets that you submitted and any additional sponsorship documents.minimum income requirement, we recommend that you seek a joint financial sponsor or a household member to join you in financially supporting these immigrant family members. If you choose to add joint sponsors or household members, please have them complete the appropriate Affidavit of Support form and give it to the visa applicant to submit at their visa interview, along with supporting financial evidence such as IRS tax returns. Do not send these documents to NVC. During the visa interview a consular officer will review any proof of assets that you submitted and any additional sponsorship documents

10 - MEXICO POLICE CERTIFICATE:______________________________ Available in most states for applicants 18 and over. Immigrant visa applicants who have resided in Mexico for six months or more since the age of 18 are required to provide a police certificate. The state police (Fiscalia General del Estado) of each state in Mexico can provide a police record (Carta or Certificado de No Antecedentes Penales). The process and the cost of obtaining these records vary by state. Contact the state police for instructions. If the state police record is unavailable, visa applicants must provide a federal record called a "Carta de No Antecedentes Penales" from the Direccion General de Ejecucion de Sanciones, Comision Nacional de Seguridad

Sounds like the documentation for the Affidavit of Support was not enough evidence to meet the  minimum requirements. You mentioned that your parents will be helping out at the beginning? Did you have them fill out the I-864 form along with their W-2's and IRS tax returns. My husband had to submit his tax returns and W-2's of the past 3 years and prove he made enough money to support me and above the poverty guidelines. for a household of 2.

You need to bring these documents to the interview along with the Police Certificate. In what city/state of Mexico have you been living? You need to request a Carta de No Antecedentes Penales at the corresponding office. If I recall correctly you have to take certain documents, photographs, pay the fee and it is ready after 1-2 weeks. So if you already have the interview date, I would make sure to have them ready soon.

The notification basically says the officer will review them at the time of the interview and make a decision then. You do not need to send them to NVC.

Best of luck.

Thank You ! For the info, do you have an idea of about how far along the interview will be. I called NVC this morning and they told me the case is complete that we are in the queue for an interview.

To the OP, be aware that the Affidavit of Support will not take your foreign fiance's future work and fiances into consideration - Only the US citizen's.  And your completed I-134 and supporting documents are to be given at the K1 Visa interview, not mailed to the NVC

As already stated by another VJ member, you will need a co-sponsor and they will need to fill out a Affidavit of Support form and provide supporting documents as well.

For my case it took a couple of weeks after the case was complete to receive the letter with the interview date for Cd. Juarez. So it should not take too long for you to hear back.

Thank you all all for the info! How soon after did you find out EXACTLY when your appointment was and  how long after was it scheduled?
