I have seen a lot of people on here in Thailand that have had issues with their K1 due to co-sponsorship.  I haven't seen anything on the embassy website that says they don't accept co-sponsors with the K1.  Where can I find more information, and can anyone share their experience with me so that I have some inkling about what to expect?

I left the US Navy in March of this year (2 months after submitting the K1) due to injuries I received while deployed, and they got worse (both mental and physical injuries).  I am currently not able to work, and I'm in the VA process of getting a disability rating (could take as long as 6 months...so expected to be receiving payments in October or November, with backpay to April).  I have no debt, the navy still owes me $11,500 which I will be receiving later this month, I have a sizable amount in savings that I can live off of for 2 years just by myself, I have quite a bit saved up in retirement, I sold both of my properties in 2014 and 2015 before I deployed to the middle east for the last time, and I don't foresee anything happening in the future that would make her a public charge...especially with the support network that veterans like myself have.

I will eventually be going to school (the post-911 GI-bill in my area gives me $1700 a month for expenses and pays for my school completely...and I have a kicker that will bump that up to somewhere between $1900-$2000 a month total...just for going to school).

I have plans for our future, but I can't right now show them this in a tangible format.  I am switching careers because I am no longer able to serve my nation...do they take all of this into consideration?

Thanks everyone who can send some knowledge and experience my way.
