Da steht ja was von current Legal Name.

Hi all,

So sorry not to speak german. My fiancé is in Germany but he’s not on these forums. I’m hoping you can help me with two questions.

One-my fiancé is going next week to get the medical done for K1 visa in Frankfurt. The website for the medical office lists 420 euros! Is this correct?? Seems insanely expensive. Also he called to find out what vaccines he needs (he is getting them all bc he has no records) and what the German office said is much less than what’s on USCIS website. Any idea why?

Second question—his case is in transit to Frankfurt now from NVC. He went online to complete the document delivery address form at www.ustraveldocs.com/de but he got to the screen to select visa type and none of them are applicable to K1. Did he do something wrong?

thanks so much!

@TearsOfBabylon is right regarding the costs of the medical. The current price in Dortmund is 254.90€ for the examination and 119€ for the blood test.

She also posted a link that shows all required vaccines by age:

http://www.internisten-im-westend.de/wp-content/uploads/Immigration-medicals-Important-Information-for-our-Applicants.pdf

He doesn't need to complete a form. The i-129f already includes his address and they'll use that address in order to send him "Packet 3".
I recommend sending your fiancé a link to this forum so he can read up on everything. :)

And good luck!!

I'm going to have my medical on Nov 29th and received Packet 3 this month.

Thanks, yes he saw the list of vaccines and called the office in Frankfurt and they confirmed, but it's still so different than what's on USCIS website as required for immigrant visas, so it's a bit odd. He is so filled with vaccines over the past two months he is happy to stop now lol!! He goes for the medical next Tuesday.

The form he's trying to fill out is required per Packet 3--document delivery address: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Wop8bIKTDfrixAjYxHktS9bkfEeRi1oh/view

Have you completed that online yet? You have to create an account to let them know delivery address of the visa as well as pay the fee. He created the account but can't get to the delivery address part without choosing visa type and K visa is not an option. I think he's doing something wrong.

Oooh that is what you meant. I thought he was trying to fill out some sort of form for the NVC.
I already paid and gave them the delivery address.

Did he choose Immigrant visa?

If so, he should be able to choose the K-Visa option.

Ah! That's it. Yes he did Immigrant visa but did the wrong visa category. I knew something was not right. THANK YOU!

When did you get your P3? Any idea how long wait times are to get appointments in Frankfurt for interview?

That's awesome. Good luck to you! He has everything done paperwork-wise except the medical. He's doing that on the 20th. His application is in transit now to Frankfurt. It left on the 13th so hoping it gets there in the next few days and he has the P3 before the end of November. We're in a bit of a rush because he is planning a trip home to Ireland for the holidays (and his lease is up end of December) so he's hoping he can get everything done super fast and then go to Ireland for a month before coming here (and by super fast, I mean super slow because we filed in February lol). We'll see!!

Gratulation.
