Does everyone go thro AP on ceac? Even without a 221G?

Yes, I was on AP (administrative processing) for almost two full days before it went back to Ready and then to Issued. AP is in most cases nothing to worry about if you were approved, it's the preparation of your visa package and the printing of your visa if they kept your passport.

01/13/2016: I-129F filed  07/15/2016: K-1 visa in hand
10/13/2016: Filed AOS + EAD/AP.   07/07/2017: Permanent resident (Conditional)
04/16/2019: Filed ROC  11/17/2020: Approved. (10 yr GC)

Also, now that I've sent my P3, can I go ahead and schedule my medical and make an interview appointment or do I HAVE to wait for the P4?

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi,

Hi there!

We are currently awaiting our interview appointment and I'm trying to get a few things done in the meantime, including vaccinations. What's your experience with the varicella vaccination? I most definitely had chickenpox as a kid and so wouldn't need the vaccination, but how do I prove that I had it without undergoing another blood test that may slow things down? Or would you recommend just taking the test during the medical check?

Thanks!

The blood test, in my experience, doesn't slow things down. You also have to do a gonorrhea test anyway. Just make sure you do the medical a few weeks before your interview, because when I had my interview I've heard about a few people getting denied for not having their medical results in yet. They did it about a week before the interview. For me, it took the clinic 2 weeks to finish and send the results.

You could technically get the vaccine, but I don't think that's recommended. It'll cost more money and potentially makes you sick.
