hi

the form is very clear, it says mortgage debt

 

this section is only if you don't have enough income, but you have assets to supplement the income

 

if you had more than a house, you have to subtract the mortgage debt that you have on the house

Thanks for clearing that up, the form actually isn't very clear with the verbiage as while under the "Real Estate Information" section the line posits the question "I have mortgages OR other debts amounting to _____" .  As it's under a section titled real estate information i'd like to assume what you said is the case, but the question itself is extremely open ended and could easily mean to also include other non real estate  related legal debt.

I just realized that maybe we are talking about a different affidavit of support

 

I mentioned the i864 which is for the adjustment of status, did you mean the i134? because you never mentioned the number of the form

 

if so, then the part 7 of the i864 is more clearer about that

Yea, I should of been clearer about the form number as this is the i134, part 3 question 8b. I sometimes forget how many variations they have of this damn paperwork for the different circumstances, I didn't even know there was a different version (the i184)
