They can ask for another interview and/or additional evidence at any point up until they make a decision to approve or deny the I-485.

It's uncommon for them to ask for a second interview, and if you answer the RFE with all the requested information, then I wouldn't expect another RFE.

Well you’re posting about the AOS in the ROC forum, I hope you are paying attention to details and everything in the application, if you find yourself missing critical steps or not understanding somethings, hire an attorney. And to answer your question, yes they can go back and forth on interviews and RFE until they are satisfied.

Hello we basically had the same experience during our AOS although i can say our first interview just went well. We received RFE(after initial interview) and after responding in a week or two we were scheduled for another interview which is interrogation or sTOKES. So just sharing! your could be different but better be prepared i suggest. Its all case to case.

Thanks for the responses.  First, my post was moved to the ROC section I posted this in the general section.

Second, We were not missing anything and submitted what they asked for we think.  We got an RFE for vaccinations which we submitted either they lost them or we didn't obtain all we were advised we needed by the doctors or we need clarity on the letter. 

 

We are applying for the AOS; we just were wondering what would be usual in this case and what we may need to 1)based on the RFE and 2) based on what I think was an interview that I don't think went well.   I don't think it went well because our responses to the questions didn't seem to satisfy the agent at times she was confused by what was said she didn't care for some of our answers etc. but I could have been over sensitive about how it went.

 

Based on the questions asked in the RFE would they maybe ask for a second interview?  or is there no correlation between the two?

What types of questions did they ask in the RFE? If they just asked for a vaccination report or documents, that's one thing.

If they are asking about relationship stuff, that's usually a signal that they don't believe the relationship is bona fide. If so, and they still aren't satisfied with the RFE response, they may ask for another interview...a stokes interview where they separate you and ask questions and compare answers.
