Hello,

 

I need some help here. My husband is American, he is right now living in US and I'm in Brazil waiting on my K3 visa to be approved. We got a letter from USCIS saying that a post decision action was taken on my case for the I129F form and that I got the benefit through other means. What does that mean?? Please, help. It's been 8 months I have filed.

K-3 is obsolete. Your I-129F has been closed and your I-130 will proceed so you can file for a CR-1 visa once it is approved.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Hi, 

thanks for answering me. The CR1 visa, is it only for married people that are married for two years or less? Because I've been married for over 16 years.

The CR-1 and IR-1 processes are the same. If you have been married at least 2 years when you enter the US on the visa, you will get a 10 year green card and not have to do ROC. :)

Thank you very much! I'm so happy, have been waiting for this for very long time. Do you know how long this process to get the IR1 approved takes?

About a year total, so you're probably about halfway there.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
