Hello everyone,i pay $120 for my mom and $120 for my dad 3 weeks ago and see PAID for today already,i filled out the form DS-261 3 weeks ago also. So what do you need to do next? Can any of you guite me please! I feel kind of lose now. Thank you so much!

Did you do it online in the CEAC site? If you did i recommend you to do the following:

Call the NVC and ask them to confirm for you over the phone the choice of agent form , that will help generate things faster

That also will help have the immigrant visa fee bill become available for payment also (390$$ ) per person if i am not wrong could be a little less but is 3XX.

When your visa fee also gets marked as paid you should be able to submit the 2 visa applications (form ds-260 ) online.

After that you will be able to send all your documents ( two packs on same envelop) 1 is your affidavit of support docs ( ask if you neeed more info on this)

and 2 the documents required (nice color copies) originals you will take them to interview (for example birth certificate, Police certificate etc) please put attention to this last 2 they vary country to country call your embassy they will tell you exactly what kind of certificates they need. Or look in their website

Then that is it in resume

Then you wait for NVC to tell you that everything is cool ( case completed) then you wait for them to give you an interview date

What you paid was the AOS fee in case you did not know.

Form Ds-260 ask about children of beneficiary but my mother has no children all her children are now adult. So do you still put them as children or leave it blank. any suggestions?

You still have to list them.

I am doing the same i dont work but my husband do. You send form i864 and your husband will send form i864A together with yours. You will need to send proof of relationship between you and your husband like a birth certificate even more if you have joint taxes, joint car insurance, joint bank accounts any extra stuff don't hurt. Do not send originals send copies the originals you take them to embassy at day of interview . If you are submitting tax transcripts and or joint tax returns make sure you send w2 for your husbands employment

Also yes you are a household member just make sure that i both forms you are not counted twice .

Make sure in all spaces that do not apply you make sure you write in black ink "N/A" or "NONE" on any box that dont apply to your case even the parts of translators if you are not using any body for example.

Also there is a part on i864A where you sing making a contract between you and your husband that you agree to compromise in support of the new immigrants

Also when you send packs make sure they are on the same postage but diferent envelopes inside you IV pack and your aos pack. Does not hurt to write on your copied papers your case number on the top right corner . Cause NVC tend to lose papers just fyi

I called NVC early today and they said they received all of my parents documents on Apr 23. They need 6 weeks to review them then they will send something to me. Does anyone get into that step? I wonder, when will they schedule for my parents’s interview?

go to the ceac website and check the status while they review your docs it will show that you need to submit the docs (you did it already) when they are done checking and if you did not missed anything the status will change to AT NVC and you will get an  email saying that they got everything and wait for interview date. if you missed or submitted a wrong document they will issue you a check list stating what you missed and you must submit it. use the technology and check at ceac it will tell you in real time before waiting for a letter.

Interview me-rally depend on you embassy on how busy they are, for what I have seen you wait a month after your docs review and case complete to get an interview date, once you get it is a date about 6 weeks.

Lets say you interview could be in 2 1/2 months from case complete. just an estimate it could be more it could be less. I calculate my would be in 4 months due to my embassy load of work.

I would say to be sure, call NVC and ask if you are done with it. But

It will show that you need to submit it on the status box even if you have completed already. Now If ds260 says completed or accepted or submitted on your ceac main page then it means you successfully filled, if not check it . But like i said be sure and confirm with an NVC rep.
