Who cares about ideology, right? So long as business is good, who really cares? Democracy is overrated tavarich. Trump is turning out to be the perfect manchurian candidate.

Remember our discussion about identity politics? Bang on, amirite? Step one, vote for black President because he's black. Woohoo, we've accomplished something! (a President like Bush, but is black); Step two, get offended by opposing candidate, attack his personality and his family; Step three, get upset because identity politics and tantrums don't get us our way anymore. March against Trump for womens rights/for freedom/for whatever other pile of poop disguised as something righteous, try and feel better about idiocy despite never addressing the problems that caused things not to go their way.

You said your focus was only on the current President and his family.  Seems a fairly narrow window and somewhat discriminatory.  Let's cut cost for all of them including those in the other two branches.

i'm all for cutting costs, but i don't agree with cutting security for former presidents and their families, i think that's necessary.

I guess I don't see the need for former presidents and First Ladies .  I suppose there could be some question regarding protecting State secrets for the Presidnt, but there are a lot of people in the administration that may fit into that category and do not get lengthy (I think the last Congress and President Obama made it lifetime again) government paid protection.
