White male .. a bit bald .. kind of brown hair?

Window 15, the one inside a room-like? Usually people gone in there are pre-approved, you're the second one I heard that was put on AP.

Did your case have any red flags? age difference? different religious backgrounds? language barriers?

FYI, I edited my previous post with more questions.

Well, what was your response to that question? He asked me something somewhat similar in nature.

btw there are many of  CR1 and K1 Egys Benefiteries were on  AP

i have checked all egys profiles here

I was referring only to the ones who reported going to Window 15, which is designed for interviewing couples.

Almost all reports said that they have came outta there approved or felt that they were already approved from the type of questioning. Only saw 1 person who reported to have gone on AP after being in Window 15, and now you're the second.

hello guys

no updates here , but i just got an email from our lawyer , after the last inquiry he made on 15 June , as usual the embassy gave us the same " copy and paste " answer.

the interesting part in the lawyer's answer was the following

After doing some research, including reviewing anecdotal reports from other immigration practitioners, six months is an unusual but not entirely unheard of amount of time.  Additionally, anecdotal reports indicate that these lengthy waits, although generally not common, appear to be related to rigorous background checks for individuals from specific countries (one of which is Egypt), individuals who have the name "Mohamed/Mohammed", and individuals who have an employment and education history that involves military and/or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).  As a result, it appears that you fall in a very unfortunate "sweet spot" for the Department of State's background/security check protocol

it is my understanding that the hold up with your case is resulting from a Department of State background/security check which is performed in Washington, D.C..  Therefore, it may not be within the U.S. Embassy in Cairo's power to accelerate Amr's processing, but instead within the Department of State in Washington, D.C. "

any way we are planning to take it to the senator office again and see what he can do

if you got any updates please share it with us

thanks

Thanks Amr for keeping us apprised.

Again, just as I hypothesized before. We're on an background check but it seems to have only started post-approval which is the normal thing to do (and why would they even bother with background checks if the applicant has not been approved yet? It only makes more sense).

The irony is when you know that the U.S embassy in Baghdad, Iraq (a warzone) has the biggest amount of visa approvals and fastest rate & shortest processing times than anywhere else in the middle east.

What's happening in US embassy in Cairo is merely & utterly ridiculous.
