Don't you think the timing makes it look very bad on Trump? He just fired the man in charge of investigating him.  How would that have gone down in your country? I presume there is a set of ethics in your government as well.

The MDL would,have had the same reaction, so what difference would it have made.  As his investigation into the Hillary emails displayed, I would think the Left would have wanted a more competent person in charge or any supposed investigation of Trump.

and you see no issue with trump choosing that 'more competent person' to investigate something you believe is a mdl narrative and nothing more. color me shocked.

We're getting somewhere. At least you admit Trump's move was unethical, mitigated however, because the other side would have done something similar.

Quickest one I could find.  The point is several of the responders here said President Trump should have fired him in January, if it is true and Comey was actually investigating him, wouldn't the reaction have been the same?

right after comey announced the huma/weiner info damning hillary further? i think it would have looked like trump was carrying through on his lock er up promise. the right hated comey for letting hillary off the hook, comey released info and reopened the case to get in trumps/the right's good graces, but trump was having none of it and kept his word, firing comey and then going after hillary..that didn't happen. he praised comey. said he wasn't going after hillary. bottom line, there's no telling what the reaction would have been, because it didn't happen that way. just like it didn't happen that hillary is president and she fired comey..non issue/non reality.

I think you are paraphrasing :  If Trump did think he was a poor performer he should have taken action close to the transition and not after he praised him profusely for months.  Trump obviously calculated that Comey would be more loyal to him that to his oath of office.
