The comedians regularly made fun of presidents regardless of their demeanor.  The was certainly plenty of fodder from the Obama camp during their transition and first 100 days, but the comedians wouldn't touch it.  Trump is fair game and so he should be, but it should be fair game for all.

For those that are comparing this to Watergate I have to ask you one question.  What administration appears to have put a rival party/candidate under direct or indirect surveillance purely for political reasons?  This is the group you should be pissed about.  Heck, two "bombshell" witnesses testified in the Senate investigation into Russian collusion with the Trump campaign, and not one Democrat Senator asked a question related to collusion.  No new information was learned, we just keep getting back to "that information is classified".  Well, based on reports and interviews, done by Diane Feinstein who has viewed this classified information, she said there was no evidence of collusion.  Like I said in another thread, this is approaching tin foil hat levels.

 

Comey was a poor leader, and he needed to go.  Trump may not have done it the best way, but no one had confidence in Comey anymore, and apparently, he did not have enough hidden "dirt" (ala J. Edgar Hoover) to keep his job.

It was racist in that they did not treat President Obama equally.  Last I heard, all races are to be treated equally or you are a racist.

Not quite. She won the popular vote by more than 2 million votes, which means that regardless of the result of the election, the majority of American voters did not want Trump in the WH.

 

Trumps "win" was anything but. HIs own party didn't want him, and the only reason he is in the WH today is because the electoral college voted for him. We The People didn't.

 

In the same vein, the UK should can BREXIT because 48% of the people voted against is.

I don't think there is any equivilant to Trump in any of our presidents. Race, party, ideology, religion. If another Trump ever comes along..there will be laughter and derision.

All Presidents have or utter gaffs, and President Obama was no different.  I remember comedians teasing Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, H.W. Bush, Clinton, W. Bush and now Trump right from the start.  Only President Obama was treated differently.  Why was that?  He certainly had his own gaffs.

Someone needs to be educated on the difference between majority and plurality. Even with your own modified standards of how to win US elections, you still have it wrong.

 

Brexit vote for Yes - majority

Hillary national popular vote - plurality

 

Brexit Yes vote - relevant, affected outcome of exiting the EU

Hillary plurality of national popular vote - irrelevant
