An arrest record and a conviction record is 2 different things. If you were arrested for murder but were not convicted of murder, you're gonna need a certified court record/copy of the arrest record that shows the final disposition. Disposition means what the outcome or ending of your arrest case (ex. where the charges dropped/dismissed, did you take a plea that after you finish the terms of the agreement the charges were dropped/arrest record expunged etc.) If you were convicted, you are still gonna have to provide a certify court record/copy of the what the sentencing was. Whether you do the K1 or spousal visa, I would advise you fully disclose and make sure you have all court documentation to provide proof of each or any offense.

And no I'm not a lawyer, just have been working in the legal/compliance industry for 10+ years, but this not legal advice.

hi there, i would just want an advice... on  where exactly to get this? court certified copies of arrest and/or disposition of each case

i read many articles where it said, to get it to the county ? so it means, if he was arrested into 3 county in 1 state, we have to contact all those county to get the documents? and by that means, we have to specify which crime we need or can we just give person information (name, birthday, etc)

thank you in advance

He would have to go the courthouse of where his case was handled and request a certified court document showing the disposition (the outcome of his case or arrest) from the clerk/courts office. So if you're saying he was arrested 3 times in different counties all in one state, he would have to go to the court that handled the arrest. If he's been arrested 3 times, then he knows where he has to go to get his certified court records.

You can pull the disposition of a case from each county where the case happened in the same state. You can just give them the information needed about the individual and they will usually ask why you need it but that's about it.
