Meeting within the last 2 year

I will be filing my K1 package tomorrow. The last time we saw each other in person was July of 2015. So the application will still be in progress when the 2 years is up. Are we within the 2 year window when application is received? How does the exact cutoff work? Thanks in advance!

It would be within the 2 years at the time of application. There are plenty of people that file for a K-1 and go over the 2 years with wait times, would be pretty hard for USCIS to make a stipulation for a meeting to have been within the 2 years of being approved.

The cut off is the day they receive it, so you will be fine.

However, meeting in person as often as possible and for as long as possible helps with approval; you have reached the absolute minimum so you CAN be approved, but to increase your chances of that approval, go see her again, at least once before interview.

I would take a quick trip to The Phils . We used a service and that was in the top three reasons to get denied and they specifically say to START the process at least 6-8 months before the the 2 yr date comes because they say it is based on date of interview at embassy and not date that you start process ...We are just awaiting our NOA2 so we are not experts ..maybe others will comment that they went beyond it but everything I have seen says similar about it not mattering start date it is interview date they go by.    I'm not trying to sell a service but for as low as four or five hundred dollars we are thankful we used one just for the peace of mind that it was reviewed by people with experience ...I like this site but I keep in mind that most of us are similar and few have gone thru this process more than once
