I am not sure why USCIS suddenly slowed down. I did not see but very very few approvals since end of Nov...Also, I am sure since its the holiday season from now until the beginning of the year, that some took time off increasing the backlog more...

Prayers for you guys...I am truly frustrated for all.

So I filed a service request about a few weeks ago since it has been 230 days for us now with no approval. We got a notice back saying that they had to perform additional review on our case that caused a delay in processing time. And that our case is currently with an adjudicating officer and we should receive a decision or notice of further action within 60 days.

Does approval really come within 60 days or can it take even more time? Can someone please tell me what really happens after this response of service request.
When should we expect to hear a decision? Its been sooo long :(

I don’t know what’s going on with Texas Service Center that’s crazy. My husband and his daughter was luckily approved December 4, my priority date is May 23, 2017. I think Texas is moving very slow compared to other service center. I hope for the new year they pick back up for you and many others...

Hi,

I filed a service request too on Dec 14, and then USCIS gave me the SAME exact reply as you on Dec 18 .... "delayed due to Additional review".  This is despite getting told by Tier 2 operator that a Adjudicating officer was assigned to my case on Nov 30th.  It's been over 230 days for me too.

Talk to Tier 2. Put in a case service request, this means they will talk to Potomac, they should reply within 2 weeks to give you a case status. Most likely they will just simply reply "delayed due to Additional review" because it's christmas break time. I recommend if after Jan 7, you don't anything, then put in a Case Service Request via Tier 2 support. It's because it's a holidays, people take time off for vacation, it's slower around the christmas time.

Make sure to note down the Case Service Request # they should give you.

Also don't worry, I am April 26th PD, Texas, US Citizen, and I haven't been approved either. No worries ;)

You can ask others however, I will tell you what I would do. First call the customer service number 1-800-375-5283 ask them what you should do, my best guess is they are likely going to tell you to contact the money order company to ask for a refund aince it wasnt cashed and then to redo the papers. Double check you mailed to the right address as the addresses have changed when I cant answer. But that is likely what they might tell you.
