Someone told me too that just submit the papers in the checklist and skip sending photos as they are not really needed so we did not send any. I guess we'll just see what the RFE letter says when it arrives in the mail. We're just glad that they already reviewed our papers (finally!) and we'll submit what additional documents they need from us. 😊

I didn't want to take any chances with there to be questions about my marriage, I sent in photos from every visit up to when we got married, it took me 3 months after I got married to make sure I had all the papers in order, everything was filled out, my legal termination of my previous marriage, copy of all pages of my passport, copy of my American birth certificate. I even submitted things that were not on the list, I didnt want to have to risk getting a RFE...I sent in affidavits from those who witnessed our wedding, and those here in the states that knew of our relationship my own personal letter about how we met. This process can cause so much anxiety.

I used a lawyer and the lawyer wanted photos to submit.

looks like we are both sitting in the black hole of Nebraska, I hope they will really start to pick things up soon, it did appear as if they got through Jan kind of fast, but who knows it might go backwards again.

Yeah, you just call the USCIS number and I called like 3 or 4 times until they let me talk to a tier 2 officer. You just have to ask them. Some agents transfer you and some just dont so you should just keep trying.

I got all paperwork on the checklist including affidavits from our witnesses at the wedding and my mother in law's Affidavit, all notarized. I just didn't include any photos bcoz I read somewhere that don't send anything that's not on the checklist. Anyway, we will need to show them everything we have, photos and conversation, for our US Embassy Interview.

Keeping the faith. Goodluck to us all.

I'm holding onto the hope that the Processing times listed here on VJ are more accurate than the USCIS processing times..

On VJ timelines it's historically taking 198 days....apparently processing applications received on May 5th.  I know Nebraska is slow :( Just keep telling myself 1 more week....1 more week.

Thankfully I'm with my spouse, we are living abroad in Canada currently.  I know I'm lucky to not be separated and others have it much worse than I do.  I just wanna come home already :(

I totally get it.  I am in the same position as you living abroad in Mexico so I am not separated from her.  The only taste of home I get is working here everyday but then come back across the border into Mexico at the end of every work day.  I cant wait till we can both live here in Tucson so I can take her on trips in the USA and not be so limited to only being able to do things in Sonora.

We have to show them conversations? My husband and I communicate through Imessage and phone calls, he cant take his phone in so how are we going to be able to show them the conversations? He has all the pictures from every trip on his laptop so he will have to go get them printed out to?

So I finally got to talk to a Tier 2 officer after 2 hour wait but they literally just told me the same information that a Tier 1 officer told me. They said that Texas Service center is currently working on Feb 2 cases so wait another 60-90 days to hear back for your case since PD is May 8th.

This is so disappointing. How can I talk to someone who can tell me more accurate time?

Can’t he screenshot and print the messages? I would bring whatever is necessary to get approved. If they asked to see my wedding dress I would have my husband bring it lbvs!

Photos are more important for those filing for the fiancé visa. It’s irrelevant until the interview. I think they are more concerned with more bonafide proof of marriage rather than photos....

I guess he has to take screenshots and have them printed. My husband and I uses WhatsApp messenger and it has a capability to send conversations thru email. I send our conversations monthly to my email and download them and had them printed. Right now, we have 1000 pages printed, I am getting ready since July so I won't be rushed when it's time to go to the interview in the embassy.  I have screenshots of our phone calls and conversations in Facebook and are ready for printing soon.  For our wedding photos and our vacation photos, I have them in photobook layout and printed for our souvenir anyway :)

I did all these because I read some reviews here in VJ written by those who are done with their visa application and are now in the US. One was saying that she was not given the visa approval unless they have their printed conversation and sent to the embassy.  It really helps to check their reviews.

Goodluck to us all. :)

I agree, that's what my friend told me too, she's living with her husband in US now, and that's why I didn't send any photos but now I'm confused.  I have affidavits for bonafide proof of marriage and we think it's all good.  I guess we'll just have to wait for the RFE letter in the mail.  We're very anxious and clueless.

Did you do front and back of birth certificates even if it’s blank? Rapidvisa told me to make sure I did that.

For my husband? I guess he did photocopied them front and back. I remember telling him to have all his passport pages photocopied too, as it was in the checklist. For my birth certificate, I don't think have them front and back.  But marriage certificates are all good, I hope.
