I agree with you, I get to see my spouse in Egypt maybe every 6 months, and the amount it cost to fly there is so high.

I agree with you, those who are at the faster service centers need to think about how who are sitting at one of the worst service centers feel.

Do not get me wrong, I am happy for them really, but it hurts, I cried when Nebraska finally got into working on cases from 2017.

Immigration in the US was never a fair system regardless of the service center. We, petitioners, at different service center are caught in all the mess related to ppl who r illegal, overstayed and get to stay, and the list goes on.

Of course I am not talking about DACA. they are totally in a different category. But I am talking about those who overwhelm the system by manipulating it and are allowed to continue as they wish staying here...sad but true, until it is fixed, if it will ever be, we just have to hold tight and with the best to all who are doing it the right fair way.

Personally, that AOS path should be terminated all together. It does not do any fair to anybody that someone come on B1/B2 or student then easily get to marry and stay to adjust status while all others are waiting. Also those who overstay and get married or find a way to stay in should be penalized heavily but closing any path to legal residency until back to their country and pay a hefty fine and get banned for sometime.

Not only this will make those rethink doing it, but that money will help fund those who really trying to do it the right way. Of course this is my opinion and does not include those with justified reasons to do AOS. I am talking about those who use the system....

Diversity should be merit based like many other countries to promote getting high quality individual who can add to the culture in a favorable ways. H1B visas? need to be more restrict to ensure fairness to those who resides here first (US and legal residents). I can keep talking, but this is some of what is in my mind.

I am Egyptian/American, from what city is your spouse if I may ask ?

My husband called USCIS this morning and spoke to a tier 2 officer. He was told that they were still working on March petitions and that as of now they don't need anything from us, that everything seems to be good AND that they will send him a letter explaining this next week.

Seriously ???? Are they making fun of people or what ?

I keep praying that we all get our approvals very soon

I do not think it is odd at all. USCIS is being USCIS..no one knows how they work or if they are even processing in order they receive. I dealt with them one before and my paper work took from start to finish until I got my CR-1 only 5 months while everyone pretty much that was with me at the same center had an average 8-10 months...reason? no one knows...

I wish I can say for sure it is processed in order. This way everyone pretty much can tell when they will hear back but it is not the case. Potomac is processing in May while some March and April are still pending there...how can you explain that?

Very true. And the more you call, the different answers you get every time. Called tier 2 twice. First told me you are almost at the 6th month mark and I see someone been assigned to your case. If you did not hear back in one or two weeks, give us a call..The other, uhm your case is pending since May 30. Currently we are processing March in Potomac...????

I agree it does, I miss it as well...we have traveled all over Egypt, each time I visit its for 2-3 weeks at a time. This last time he let me drive and he was shocked that I could handle the roads in Cairo. And the stetch in the mountains from Ain Sohkna to Hurghada.
