Be thankful you're not stuck in Nebraska like many of us are that is taking 10-12 months.

I was at Nebraska  and got transferred to Potomac, we waited 13 months it can be any service center and still have to wait long, it depend on who working on your case.

My husband called USCIS this morning and spoke to a tier 2 officer. He was told that they were still working on March petitions and that as of now they don't need anything from us, that everything seems to be good AND that they will send him a letter explaining this next week.

Seriously ???? Are they making fun of people or what ?

I keep praying that we all get our approvals very soon

It is ridiculous really. I am also still waiting at Potomac with PD May 30. When I talked to that tier 2 officer, he was really a nice guy and told me it was assigned to an officer for processing. He mentioned I should hear in the next week or two...just hang in there.

I am right there with you PD 5/8, Nebraska is taking so much longer than anywhere else.

Honestly if any group has the right to complain about how long things are taking it would be those sitting in Nebraska.

It's true, Nebraska is the worst service center 10-12 months just to approve, and they don't care our situation, it's a disaster

Nebraska is more than a disaster. It does irk me seeing how impatient our fellow filers are who were lucky enough to be sent to one of the faster service centers. This past week was the first time I've seen my spouse in five months. They return back to Colombia tomorrow morning. At least he'll be back at the end of December for a couple weeks. Originally, our anticipated adjudication was end of December, which would've coincided while he would be here, but now it's early March. If Nebraska teaches anyone, it is that patience is truly a virtue.

I agree with you, I get to see my spouse in Egypt maybe every 6 months, and the amount it cost to fly there is so high.

I agree with you, those who are at the faster service centers need to think about how who are sitting at one of the worst service centers feel.

Do not get me wrong, I am happy for them really, but it hurts, I cried when Nebraska finally got into working on cases from 2017.

We have to talk about Nebraska service center to media, Senator, congresmen, i don't but we can't continue to deal with this problem, they are killing us slowly, nobody care

I wrote my senator outlining the problems with Nebraska, the lack of accountability, the inability to get a K-3 VISA issued, and the fact that H1-B have premium processing (an answer within 14 days) and that student and other work VISAs have processing deadlines whereas I-130 does not. Apparently whoever answers letters at my senator's office does not know how to read because all I got was a response saying I was in normal processing times when I explicitly did not ask for a case update but for Nebraska to be looked into.

When I called there and talked to someone, I asked how the decision was made to what cases go to what center, and all he could tell me was there was many factors.

If they have such a back log then maybe Trump should stop spending tax payer money on his little golfing adventures, and hire more people to process cases for those that are to come here legally.

Just ran into someone who is openly here this country (USA) who is illegal. He told me he was in Mexico just a few months ago.. HOW??? 🤔

I'm starting to think that crossing illegally is faster this process.

It's not faster. It costs a lot more. It's the same fees as filing for K-1 fiancee which then requires adjustment of status fees and then I-130 fees. Those who get married and file immediately for adjustment of status and I-130 and then work authorization. Also, the in person interview at the field office can have more scrutiny. So unless they want to sit around at home all day, I'd rather file the way we have so that way once my spouse is here he can work.
