Texas is doing very well and will get into May soon. Potomac which the fastest who should already be in May has virtually stopped processing files.

They have been transferring some cases to Vermont since August. This is getting fraustrating. They were rolling. Not sure why. There are now still lots of March cases on their backlog.

Indeed that is very frustrating. But keep your hopes high, we should hear very soon. Between, where did you hear about them transferring cases to Vermont?

Be also aware, that many users here don't even bother filling in their timeline. As a matter of fact, some even start it and once they got approved they dont bother completing it. So there is a high possibility that some May filers got their NOA2 but we are not aware of it. In my opinion, there is no reason whatsoever for a service center to abruptly just stop processing a specific application unless the USCIS announced so. Also, Other service centers that processes I-130 are not effected by the new form, so why Potomac will?

Of course I am not sure, you might be totally right but I believe that we are very stresses and obnoxious about the whole process that we our minds overthink things. I usually try to work OT and do stuff so days go by.

One more thing :), you may noticed from those members who filled their timeline, that some of them did not have an online update and got the NOA2 in mail almost 10 days after the actual approval date. So there is a very good possibility that we can hear about punches of May approval these days...

Keep you hopes high :)

See image below. I am not going by that. There is an app called USCIS in the Android play store that can be used to check cases around your case number. You can use it to see how Potomac or any Service center is doing. Potomac has virtually stopped working on i-130s but they are working on I-765s

Yeah, I am well aware of that app. But I am not sure how you can build speculations using this app? Here is what I have found:

There are two apps with this name. one downloaded 100k times and the other 50k times. This represent virtually every one who submitted an application (I-130 PLUS other types) to the USCIS. So, when you know that USCIS received 1 million 300k +(ONLY I-130) from April 1st to June 30th of this year (not including any other types of forms), so what is the percentage of I-130 do you think does that app really tracking? . You do the math.

Looked at your print screen about Mcras...he/she was transferred on august 23rd while we saw plenty of April approvals up to April 25 (or 28 I dont remember) coming from Potomac in October. So indeed they might transferred some but not all. The question is how many transfers did you see? I think we cant take a case or two or 10 out of thousands and consider it a trend. Just my personal opinion and I stand corrected.

Anyway, I totally feel your frustration. This is my second round with USCIS and I learned from the first to just sit tight and wait :(

Fingers crossed that we hear very soon.

Not all cases have been transferred. My concern is they never listed that on the backlog transfer list.

Also in that app, use the neaby case feature. Use the USCIS case assignment algorithm to pick cases for each day of the month and you will see Texas is approving and Potomac is stagnant.

If you are using the nearby case feature, use the next 50 cases instead to return more.

Hello, I am new here. May 15 filer, Texas Service Centre.
May I know when exactly do we start applying for police clearances? I need to apply to 3 countries including my own and I read each one takes around 30 working days with 6 months validity. I would like to prepare as much as possible so I could submit my package to NVC as soon as I get the case number. NOA2 estimates around end of November. Advises are welcome with thanks in advance.

Per state department guidelines, the police report is good for one year. My case is not yet approved. My pd is May 11, Potomac but my wife has already got the police report. It only cost about 30 dollars so it  is not a big deal for us to do it again. It will only speed up the process.

I need to get police reports from 3 different countries too. Can you tell me how do you do that as I cannot travel back to those countries now. But my friend lives there. Can I ask her to get it for me if I and her my details?  Thanks
