Good afternoon,

I married my husband in Mexico on August 31, 2016. He has never been to the U.S.

We received your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative.

Your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, was transferred to another office for processing. It was initially in Nebraska and transferred to Texas.

We will assign your case to an officer.   We will review your case and mail you our decision. If we need more information, we will notify you.

Today marks two months since our case was transferred and we have not received any updates.

Can anyone provide any insight?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Our timeline is 2.5 weeks ahead of yours. Also from Mexico; were also transferred from Nebraska to Texas on 2/24 and received the notification of the I-130 approval on 4/24. So, you may receive notification soon. However our lawyer said it could take up to 8 months to receive the approval. So just a bit more waiting for you. It is coming.

Best of luck.

Processing times for the I130 is 5 to 7 months.. you can check where each centre is up to on

As of Feb 28 2017 Texs Service Centre reports processing I 130 from early September.... looking at 4 months stil to go before yours gets processed.

Hi Dee elle,

Thank you for your response, it will be 7 months since we filed next Wednesday. Honestly, i don't really understand and rely on the processing times. Someone on a different post with a later priority date has already received their approval. I understand each case is different, but this is just very frustrating.
