I was looking for more detail in the context of letting these capable. scientists go like"when we replace these scientists with some petroleum industry shills, we will have diversity in viewpoints to counterbalance the logical conclusions of the scientific community on pollution"

Right now this is all pure assumption. Not only of who will be on the EPA board, but it's also creating context of my own post under the guise of your own bias. In the English language it's called straw man.. it's also a crappy argument.

No argument, crappy or othotherwise. You called out "diversity" as the goal and gave me a Webster's. Definition when asked to clarify.  I just thought I would return your ad Hominem slight with one with a little more substance.

No, I gave you a link to a business environment definition I thought was fitting, not Websters. But once again, you're conjuring things up to make arguing easier. Whatever suits you. Says far more about your own issues if you can't argue what someone is saying at face value.
