But there is no "I told you so" by anyone. Obama simply told Trump he should not hire Fynn - past tense. A comment and a piece of advice our so-called president decided to ignore. Even from the other side of the Atlantic, it should not too hard to see this is all on Trump.

Europeans have a much different vision of politics in America. My wife had the same perception before she came to this country, that everyone had to fit in one box or another. Don't make hasty judgments. America is quite different from the inside.

I think the issue is that the news is generally reported as Republican or Democrat as if there are no other options. From the outside it appears to be a two party system with no chance for an independent.

 

But this section of the forum is excellent, I don't have to agree with everything but it's certainly an education of sorts.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
