AOS with NOA Jan 2017 out of Detroit center

Is anyone else stuck with no updates on their AOS out of detroit with a NOA date of Jan 2017.

Jan 2017 is nothing, you might still have a long wait to go. Are you sure your case is with the Detroit field office? NBC is working on september 2016 filers now it seems.

You have a long way to go actually because AOS and ROC can take up to a year. Have you already done biometrics?

No dear, they randomly process the case.It depends upon various factor including CO, field office  and offcourse case etc. I filed in mid of December, 2016 and my green card interview was conducted and approved on 10th of April,2017.

In general, AOS process takes about 6 to 12 months

Random is not the right word. As you say, it depends on a number of factors.

Of course they do it randomly to a certain extent, but you can clearly tell wgen things start moving for a certain month. They're currently working on september filers even though others might get approved much faster or slower than that, just like with everything else in this process.

I'm assuming you've completed your biometrics. It takes 4-5 months to get an AOS interview in Detroit, but adjusting from K1 you might not have one. In which case, you might have to wait longer for your GC.

Yeah, I meant the same but I know some of them who got approved randomly but again these depends upon the various factors as already mentioned.

My AOS interview was just scheduled for June 15 an my AP update states my document has just been,processed
