Hello VJers,

there's a few things i'm confused about and was wondering what you guys put down or would put down.

1.  Certain questions supposed to allow us to put N/A or NONE, we have 1 child, and on the second/third/fourth, I want to put N/A but it doesn't allow me to do it in the form, maybe i'll just do it with black ink after I print it out.  But is that the correct way to fill out the form for questions like that? or should I put NONE or leave it blank?

2.  I'm helping my spouse fill this form out, so technically i'm the interpreter for her, so that means I need to fill out part 9 correct?  for number 2, "interpreter's business or organization.." should I just put NONE  or N/A?

3.  In part 7, since i'm helping my spouse with the form, should she check the number 2 box under part 7? ("I have requested the services of and consented to _____ who is not an attorney..."

or would she really just need 1b?  If i'm helping her prepare this form, then does that mean I need to fill out part 10?  technically i'm also the petitioner? since this is a joint petition?

4.  Since we're in the US, is there a need to fill out NONE or N/A under the fields that says "Province" or "Postal Code?"

5.  Based on the current form, (12/23/16) It shows that the fees are:

The filing fee for Form I-751 is $595. A biometric services fee of $85 is also required for petitioners.

I tried going to the site, but I can't seem to find the exact information to make sure this is the exact current fees?  I only need it for my spouse correct?  if later they request that I need to biometrics, then at that point I would pay for mine?

thank you so much!

I found the filing feee

https://www.uscis.gov/i-751

$595, effective 12 a.m. Eastern U.S. time, December 23, 2016. All Form I-751 petitions also require an $85 biometric service fee for a total of $680. See the form Instructions for payment details.)

and i'm filing from CA, so I take it, it should be:

USCIS California Service Center
P.O. Box 10751
Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-1075

thanks again guys

Looks good... in some cases, I've put NA as opposed to N/A since they won't accept the slash.

On Question #1, I left them blank.

On Question #4, I left them blank as well.

You're correct on Question #5 ($595 plus $85 Biometric fee for the petitioner and each dependent child(ren) who is/are included on the same petition)

Question #2 and #3 are pretty much in gray area. You could help her fill out the form but not necessarily be her interpreter.

Thanks front gear!

How come I can't be her interpreter?  I guess it's not a big deal,  her English is good enough.   Thank you for your advice.

Hello! I am having the same question as well in filling-up the form. like for example we don't have a kid, is it okay to leave it blank? and all other parts that's not applicable to us or should we put NON or N/A?

Did you had a problem when you filed yours even if you left it blank?

Thank you! :)

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

Of course, you can, but you have to sign the Interpreter's section :)

I would just put N/A in the Child 1 section and leave the rest blank.

The other fields are depending on whether you select Yes/No on the previous question or are told to skip to Question #XX if not applicable, etc. Some other fields are obvious, like Province and Postal Code, which do not apply to a U.S. address (as luukee mentioned in his original post). I do not think you would be penalized for leaving them blank.
