Also when I got back into work my colleagues had decorated my desk in red/white/blue balloons and banners and made me this gem:

I have to say, the Norfolk office has always been very quick with things, both scheduling and in-person (3 days from in-line to letter sent, 3 more days including weekend to arrive!).  I bet they have a lot of variability due to the naval base, and pressure to be quick about things.  The office always seems like it's nearly empty every time, not a big waiting area.

Congratulations! That's so sweet of your colleagues! Mine did something similar with my face in the Statue of Liberty, along with American Flag balloon and American Pie on my desk!

The questions I was asked were as followed:

1 Who was the first president

2 Two holidays we celebrate

3 Who is the governor of this state

4 What is one thing we promise to do when we come a US citizen

5 what movement tried to end racial discrimination

Writing: The President lives in the White House

The agent was very nice but distant/professional. She said I was the second most enthusiastic person she'd ever interviewed, the first being a 95yo Vietnamese man who jumped up from the chair with his walking stick when asked if he would bare arms for the country.

The process was quick although I was kept waiting for about 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before I got called. She took my finger prints again and a quick snap of my face but I didn't need to take off my glasses - I think that was for facial recognition as she commented that my hair had changed (hello I'm a lady, it's what we do!). She asked me all the YES/NO questions again. No pictures were needed.

The office was busy busy busy but they went through folks pretty quick. My husband came and sat with me. She didn't ask to see any of my documents or originals of what I submitted. She asked at the beginning why I wanted to become a citizen and I basically went off on a speech about how I've been here for X number of years, made a life for myself here and honestly I've achieved more here than I ever did in the UK and I love it here. She then said, Well I would have accepted any ONE of those answers, but thank you.

Now I wait for my oath ceremony date, which she estimated would be very late September or early October. The current dates listed on the Mass website though stop at the end of September, so we will see what happens.

We are in very similar timeline as I remembered when we started to post our status. I don't know much about your local office GE08 but for new York, I started to see people with Feb and Mar started to get their interview dates so my guess is in a month or two, we will have ours, MnMJourney. Hang in there.

Congratulations ! my cousin`s web site status changed to "" notice was mailed" , but they put note "" if you did not receive it before September 29th request printed one "" Does 29th mean her oath of ceremony after sep.29th ? She thought her oath ceremony on Sep 28th the next available one in her city?

They're basically saying if you don't get the notice within 30 days from now call us. It's a default answer.

The online status will not list the date of the oath ceremony, it's just a simple update. They won't know the date of their ceremony until they get their physical letter in the mail, in a few days.

I applied for new job, but the employer asked for background check, already done with it, but when I was there they took my 10 fingerprints. As I know backgroynd check just giving them ID and thats it!!!!!, why they took my fingerprints and will that delay my interview???? more stress and worry
